Basking sharks spend their time filter feeding planktonic prey found at the surface of subpolar seas. They're completely harmless to humans, though surprisingly enough, they still breach! These magnificent fish can jump just as high and fast out of the water as a great white shark! Basking sharks are relatively social, too. Sometimes schools hold up to 100 individuals.

As our animal pals are not square shaped, dimensions are determined by whichever is longest: width or height. For example, a 4x4 Basking Shark will be at most four inches in width, but the same cannot be said for its height.
